Get loads of targeted traffic, i.e. people who want to view sites like yours, those visitors tend to click the most. That's basically the main key. However, don't expect to earn that much in such a short period of time: most big earning bloggers have been around for a long time.

Well Canada does not issue green cards, so I'll assume you mean permanent resident card.

Actually doesn't matter. Your H1B allows you to work for one employer. While you reside in the USA, you can invest money in a business or separate entity, however you are not allowed to work and earn income related to work for that business/entity unless you obtain a separate H1B for that business.

So in other words, you are allowed to have investment income, but not employment income, no matter where the business is located, including online.

I'm not familiar with AdSense so you would have to make your own determination as to whether this would be considered employment income or not (ie. income for work, or services rendered).

Well obviously you would want to attract a lot of web traffic. I would try to keep the subject appealing, because adsense uses ads that are relevant to to the topic of the page. Appealing topic, appealing ad. Sometimes if you are trying to get a decent amount of web traffic something such as a weekly review of a product, a weekly updated story, or a web show can cause people to come back to the website, because honestly there is no point of having a site if no-one likes it or uses it. Sometimes it is even a good idea if you tell the people viewing the page to click the ad, as this makes the viewer click the ad, you get the money, and there is even a higher chance that a product will be bought after they see the site so the person behind the ad also benefits.
